AS Designs - Final Portfolio Website
Welcome to my final portfolio website!
I made quite a few changes to my website to incorporate the feedback that I received. I decided to take my portfolio pictures off the main page as they are also on my portfolio page and add a picture that complemented my theme. The image is of a woman with a crystal ball, and I added my tagline, "Imagine. Create. Design." over the crystal ball. I also added one of my favorite pictures from my portfolio to the intro message.
On the "About Me" page I added a background that I created in Photoshop using the Generative Fill, layers, opacity, and auto adjust options. I kept in mind the concepts that we learned in Photoshop, such as the style and layout that I chose to arrange the text and images added structure and separation of the information while leaving an appropriate amount of white space. I also changed the color of the text to a dark gray and added a scroll option whereby the background stays in place while the text scrolls up and down.
On the "Portfolio" page, I changed the layout with the first project highlighted and the other projects underneath as thumbnails and added a soft light blue background. It is very user friendly as the user can scroll though each project, which is titled, and click on the image to read the description to learn and understand more about each project. I hope to be able to add more to my portfolio in the future as this is my first official art class.
I updated the "Blog" page so that when you click on the post to open it, the link to my blog is available to click on to bring the user to my blog in a new window, Lastly, I updated the "Contact" page and changed the layout a little and added a background of a couple of buildings that reminded me of art and design with their geometrical shapes. I set the opacity at 50% and used the same scroll effect that I used on my Portfolio page.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the final touches on my portfolio website and hope that you enjoy them as well.
